Second Grade Market

Grade 2 students learned about how we organize ourselves and talked about economy. In class, they talked about making purchases, negotiation, giving change and different types of currency. To end the unit, the students organized a market where they sold services and products that they created themselves, to then sell to other students, teachers and staff members. This is an activity that takes place every year and it is always a success. However, different from past years, where each visitor received 5 fake dollars, this time they could get extra fake money by making donations with real money. The funds raised will be given to two institutions chosen by the Grade 2 students. They are: The Humane Society and Ocean Conservancy. Congratulations to everyone who donated and to the second grade students for tis initiative.
