GLOBAL ISSUES NETWORK – PERU

Members of the Global Issues Network (GIN) travelled to Lima, Peru to participate in the annual GIN conference. For the past two years, these students have built and delivered 3D-printed prosthetic hands for children in Brazil. For their work, they were recently awarded the AASSA Global Citizens Award and, with support from the PTA at EABH,  presented this project at the conference to schools across South America. During their presentation, they discussed how to design and construct prosthetic hands, as well as how other schools can implement this project in order to reach more children in other countries. The presentation was an incredible success as the audience was standing room only and other schools in Columbia and Peru have began initiating this project.
