Grade 3 has been learning and discovering how the 6 basic simples machines (lever, wheel and axle, pulley, inclined plane, wedge, and screw) play a huge role in our every day lives. In order to apply their new knowledge and put into action the concepts learned, they decided to have an Invention Convention. The event was designed to give all students the opportunity to independently solve an every day problem, experimenting with a possible solution to that particular problem, and then presenting their final creation to the school. Parents, students and staff were able to witness many new ideas, from getting out of bed easier, to being able to read without arm strain, and lastly, being able to grab those hard to reach fruits from high above with ease! Congratulations to the Grade 3 class for a job well done!
