The Upper School at EABH comprises a Middle School (Grades 6-8) and a High School (Grades 9 to 12). The curriculum encourages students to engage in independent learning, to pursue their interests and talents, and to develop their ability to think and to express themselves creatively and critically. Students are challenged to seek connections across the disciplines, to integrate their learning and to value the process of intellectual discovery and artistic creativity.
The school curriculum includes the core subjects of Languages (English, Portuguese) Mathematics, Humanities, and Sciences, as well as Physical Education, Technology, Art, Music, Creative Writing, Debate, Small Group Communications, Speech, Interpersonal Communication, Digital Media Production, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. To form well-rounded students, learning at EABH extends outside the classroom with sports and after school activities.
