Brazilian Program

Welcome from Mr. Leonardo Botaro

Brazilian Program Director

The Escola Americana de Belo Horizonte is a place where education, identity, and purpose walk hand in hand. My journey at EABH began in the classroom and, over the years, evolved into various academic and leadership roles — always guided by the same conviction: education is a commitment to both the present and the future.

The Brazilian Program at EABH is grounded in the integration of the Brazilian National Curriculum (BNCC) with international best practices, ensuring a solid, coherent, and meaningful educational experience. Our work in Portuguese Language, Brazilian History, and Geography accompanies students from Early Childhood through High School, honoring each stage of development and fostering student agency.

We believe in an education that goes beyond content, promoting critical thinking, autonomy, and cultural awareness. External and diagnostic assessments are part of this process, serving as tools for reflection and continuous improvement, always focused on student learning and growth.

More than academic results, we strive to develop citizens who are prepared to act ethically, responsibly, and empathetically in a constantly evolving world. This work is made possible through a strong partnership among the school, families, and students.

EABH is ready to welcome those who believe in a high-quality, human-centered education aligned with global challenges — while remaining deeply rooted in its Brazilian identity.
