Governance
The Escola Americana de Belo Horizonte (EABH) is an independent, nonprofit association. The school is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors elected by the Association members, composed of three Brazilian nationals and four foreign members. The Board is responsible for establishing the school’s strategic direction, safeguarding its financial health, and ensuring alignment with its mission and values.
The Board sets fiduciary policies, approves the annual budget, and oversees long-term planning to ensure that the school’s resources are responsibly managed. The Board is also responsible for hiring and evaluating the Head of School, who oversees the school’s daily leadership, academic program, and overall administration.
Through this governance model, EABH remains committed to excellence, transparency, and the continued advancement of its educational mission.
