Faculty

Two fundamental aspects of EABH are holistic learning and professional development for teachers. In addition to offering an academically challenging curriculum, we strive to provide a well-supported and caring environment with a focus on the individual student. The main objective of the faculty of EABH is to provide individualized attention, which is enhanced by our low student-to-teacher ratio. The student-to-teacher ratio varies for the different grade levels, but you will never encounter a class with more than 25 students.

The faculty of EABH is a highly qualified team of internationally credentialed teachers who are committed to ongoing professional development. Educators participate in intensive teacher in-service prior to and during the academic year. Furthermore, EABH teachers participate in national and international conferences and workshops to stay abreast of cutting edge teaching strategies and research-based best practices, including those sponsored by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes, the AMISA, the United States Department of State’s Office of Overseas Schools, the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program, and the Association of American Schools in Brazil, to name a few. EABH teachers also participate in special courses held on our campus with international educational consultants.
