Grade 1 White – Plants

In First Grade White, students spent the last six weeks learning about plants. They talked in depth about the parts of a plant, how they are used, and how humans are affecting them. The class also looked at how the Amazon has changed over time, and how deforestation impacts other plants, animals and people. The students learned a lot throughout this unit and started making changes in their daily life to help preserve plants. As part of their reflection, each student was asked about the most important thing that they learned about plants.
