In a collaboration between English and Science, during their Gothic unit, Grade 9 students read, among other things, detective stories. In their first unit, they studied serial killers, such as H.H. Holmes, and investigated early forensic techniques from the beginning of the 20th century. To finish their studies, a dinner was organized, where students employed investigative and forensic techniques to find out who murdered who after the first Literature Nobel Prize in 1901. Students used what they had learned and had a lot of fun.
